Kointage uses cookies and similar browser storage to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and measure how the Service is used.
1. What is a Cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. We also use comparable mechanisms (localStorage, sessionStorage). For simplicity, this policy refers to all of them as “cookies”.
2. Cookies We Use
- Authentication cookies (essential) — set by Supabase to keep you signed in across requests. These cannot be disabled without breaking login.
- Preference storage (functional) — we use localStorage to remember things like dashboard layout, theme, and watchlist selection. This stays on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
- Analytics (analytics) — Vercel Analytics records aggregate, privacy-friendly metrics about page views and performance. It does not use third-party cookies and does not fingerprint users.
- Stripe (essential for billing pages) — Stripe sets cookies on checkout and customer-portal pages to prevent fraud and complete payments.
3. Managing Cookies
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies will prevent you from signing in or completing payments. Disabling functional storage will reset your preferences each visit.
4. Do Not Track
We honor the GPC (Global Privacy Control) signal where applicable. We do not use third-party advertising cookies and do not participate in cross-site tracking.
5. Changes
We may update this Cookie Policy. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
